Layout of the Course

The Karma Lakelands Golf Course is one of the main attractions of the resort. It is an 18-hole championship golf course that covers an area of 88 acres. The course has a total length of 7,347 yards and a par of 72. The course has four sets of tees: black (7,347 yards), blue (6,825 yards), white (6,325 yards), and red (5,525 yards). The course has a slope rating of 136 and a course rating of 74.2 from the black tees. The course features lush fairways, fast greens, water hazards, bunkers, and natural vegetation. The course also offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Signature Hole

The signature hole of the golf course is the ninth hole, which is a par-4 that measures 440 yards from the black tees. This hole is also known as “The Island” because it requires a tee shot over water to an island fairway that curves to the left. The second shot is also over water to an elevated green that is guarded by bunkers and trees. This hole is both challenging and scenic, and requires accuracy and strategy to score well.

Longest Hole

The longest hole of the golf course is the eighteenth hole, which is a par-5 that measures 590 yards from the black tees. This hole is also known as “The Finisher” because it is one of the most difficult holes on the course. The hole has a slight dogleg right shape, with water on the right side and out-of-bounds on the left side. The fairway narrows as it approaches the green, which is surrounded by bunkers and water. This hole requires power and precision to reach the green in regulation.

Interesting Story about the Course

One of the most interesting stories about the golf course is that it was once visited by Sachin Tendulkar, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. In 2011, Tendulkar came to Ahmedabad for a test match against England at Motera Stadium. He took some time off from his busy schedule to play golf at Karma Lakelands Golf Course with his friends.
